Adrian M. Scott was born on June 15, 1984 in Louisville Kentucky. He met with much academic success in his school years and was recognized as a Kentucky Governor Scholar in 2001. The same year, he was one of 250 chosen nationwide to receive a Discover Scholarship and was selected to participate in the "Youth for Understanding" exchange program that took him to Berlin for seven weeks.
In 2002 he was accepted into the Stern School of Business at New York University. Developing art interests and the recognition that a career in business was not his calling, lead to a decision to eventually leave NYU and pursue a career in art.
Throughout his life, Scott has been surrounded by strong artistic influences. His grandmother was a successful painter in oil and watercolors and his uncle's work
in stain glass and wood sculpture was an early stimulus.
Scott lived in Manhattan for six years and drew energy and inspiration from the city and
its art culture. His work in acrylic on canvas has become a full time passion. A typical piece often involves 100 to 200 hours with the pains taking attention to detail quite
evident in the finished artwork. His love of color and geometric design pervades most
of his work. Although his portfolio remains relatively small, his productivity is steady
and his drive to develop and refine his skills is obvious to those around him.
